Siren’s Call Malbec 2016
8 reviews$27.00

A relative rarity in the Okanagan Valley, the Malbec grape produces a rich, peppery red with ripe tannins and classic varietal notes of dark red fruit and spice.
John Schreiner notes “This wine begins with a lovely aroma of plums and cherries, leading to spicy red fruit flavours including cherry and black currant. With decanting, the firm texture becomes rich and generous”

I was going to let the 2015 Malbec age a bit longer, but what the heck, 5 years is long enough, and it was as advertised - rich, smooth, complex, full bodied fruit in the characteristic Okanagan way, another luscious addition to my wine cellar.

This wine was very smooth and pleasant to drink.
Wood, pepper, black cherries; fig; really great on the noise. Subtle and round tannins, good balance.
Very tasty. And the bottle is gorgeous. I wish I was a mermaid swimming in a bottle of wine...
