Siren’s Call Malbec 2019
2019 is a great vintage for big Reds in the South of the Okanagan. A powerful wine with a harmonious energy between oak, tannins and fruit expression. The nose is exuberant with notes of cassis, violet, dried sage, dark cocoa and Asian spices. The palate opens up with a creamy texture offering notes of blueberry, sweet dark cherry, dark plum and a touch of minty chocolate. The mid palate is filled with chewy tobacco and cedar box showing a solid tannic structure that will soften with time. The finish is very long and complex putting on display the French oak with toasty caramel and multiple layers of spices. A wine with tremendous aging potential.

I was going to let the 2015 Malbec age a bit longer, but what the heck, 5 years is long enough, and it was as advertised - rich, smooth, complex, full bodied fruit in the characteristic Okanagan way, another luscious addition to my wine cellar.
This wine was very smooth and pleasant to drink.
Wood, pepper, black cherries; fig; really great on the noise. Subtle and round tannins, good balance.
Very tasty. And the bottle is gorgeous. I wish I was a mermaid swimming in a bottle of wine...
