Our six-acre vineyard is situated at the south end of the bench in Okanagan Falls, BC. The simply spectacular property commands an incredible view of Vaseux Lake, a freshwater lake located along the course of the Okanagan River. Bird lovers can expect to see many birds at the lake, including ducks, Canadian geese, and redwing blackbirds. We also hear that if you are very lucky you may also see painted turtles! Let's just say this landscape has definitely been an inspiration for our wine collections!
Stephen Carter is Hawk’s Vineyard Owner and Grape Grower. After many years of landscaping around Southlands, Stephen pursued his dream of owning his own vineyard. Stephen purchased Stoney Slopes Vineyard from Jack Braun in 2011 and he has spent considerable energy nurturing the vineyard and restoring the historic landmark log home on the winery site.
Steve is passionate about the land, the dirt and the site is the inspiration behind the transformation of this property into one of the most spectacular vineyard and winery sites in BC. An inspired photographer, studying the rare special bird life on his farm and nearby Vaseux Lake led to him renaming the property Hawk’s Vineyard. Stephen’s dream is to evolve Hawks’ Vineyard into a great visitor experience and make the best wine possible out of his estate grapes.
